Alex Rider - Scorpia
- Anthony Horowitz

Anthony Horowitz is getting better at this. The fifth book in this series, shows how much better Anthony Horowitz writes now.

Alex Rider, after saving the world form a nuclear disaster, does Venice to find out about 'Scorpia', after learning form the assassin, Yassen, that Alex's father worked for Scorpia.

Alex, manages to find it pretty easily, and then almost gets killed, (Predictable...)and learns that Scorpia stands for Sabotage, Corruption, Intelligence and Assassination. After learning that Mrs. Jones was responsible for his fathers death, he joins Scorpia and begins training. Shocking.

he fails to kill Mrs.Jones as he was ordered to and ends up with the MI6 who tell him that Scorpia was planning to kill hundreds of children and decides to help the M16 and of course, he does so.

But Anthony Horowitz doesn't finish it there. Giving the book a classic finish, he reveals that Alex's father worked for the MI6 and Alex leaves the building dazed with the truth. Oh, it doesn't end there, Alex is shot, by the Scorpia.

Okay, this book is really worth reading, the older book felt to much like a kiddish James Bond movie, this book really keeps you hoked.Seriously, read it.
